Yes. And the slides are already on the Slack as well in the #presentations chanel
Ileyk El Mellah

Great, thanks!

(the question was “Will the MPI refresh session be recorded too?”)
Tobias Weinzierl
21:41
It will be recorded plus the recording will be available on the webpage plus the slides are online (already)

To follow the interactive sessions with Vampir & GUI, you'll need to have a terminal session on COSMA (capable of showing X graphics) plus the Zoom window.
Brian Wylie (JSC)
01:23:15
… and some window resizing and arrangement where you can see both simultaneously.
Alastair Basden
01:32:18
(and as Brian mentioned, x2go (which is a bit like vnc) gives best performance.
Alastair Basden
01:32:39
(you could always use ssh -X, but that is generally a bit slow and unresponsive)
Tuomas Koskela
01:33:28
X2goclient cannot be verified on macOS Catalina. Any way to get around this?
Tuomas Koskela
01:34:47
Got it, thanks
Jonathan Frawley
01:36:15
Can someone paste the path to the example?
Brian Wylie (JSC)

Thanks.

Do the lines between processes indicate data being sent / received?
Jamie Quinn
02:10:13
No questions; following along well though, this is great!
Curro Rodriguez Montero
02:10:28
Same here!
Jonathan Frawley
02:13:55
Very good, thank you!
Ilektra Christidi
02:27:54
Is there a way to report the spread of a metric, in addition to the average?
Bill Williams
02:29:49
Yes; there’s a violin plot view Markus can show in Cube
John Omotani
02:38:58
What's the difference between 'inclusive' and 'exclusive'?
John Omotani
02:41:42
OK, thanks!
Bill Williams
02:43:23
I should also mention that Vampir’s function summary will let you see inclusive or exclusive times as desired, but will not have the dynamic behavior of CUBE—you’ll always see one or the other
Jonathan Frawley
02:45:24
I would prefer to see Vampir.
Curro Rodriguez Montero
02:45:29
I’d like to explore Vampir first
Chris Culver
02:45:34
Vampir
Jonathan Frawley
02:45:39
Hurray!
Rebecca Brydon
02:45:41
Vampir
Curro Rodriguez Montero
02:45:43
Democracy haha
Chris Culver
02:48:37
maybe if you filter the VT_API?
Chris Culver
03:02:52
eventually though, the load balancing will be an issue again? Like if you let the simulation run 10x as long
Jonathan Frawley
03:04:09
Did you manually colour the different sections of the code in Vampir such as FD4, METEO, etc?
Jonathan Frawley
03:06:03
Thanks!
Curro Rodriguez Montero
03:06:11
So the only difference between the two runs is activating a dynamic load balancing?
Curro Rodriguez Montero
03:06:30
Okay, thanks!
Jonathan Frawley
03:07:07
That was great, thanks!
Curro Rodriguez Montero
03:07:17
Yeah, thank you!
MARK TURNER
03:07:18
Thank you very much!
Claire Cashmore
03:07:29

George Bisbas
03:07:48
